Weekly DropVOL. 42
Five genuinely great picks. One hero, three solid supporting acts, and a wildcard.
Meta Quest 3S VR Headset
Games & HobbiesThe Meta Quest 3S is a mixed-reality headset with 128 GB of storage, two Touch Plus controllers and access to Meta’s library of thousands of apps and games. Its strongest attraction is having things worth doing once the novelty of wearing a computer on your face has subsided.
Shokz OpenSwim Pro Bone-Conduction Headphones
Music & AudioThe Shokz OpenSwim Pro are open-ear, bone-conduction headphones with Bluetooth for above-water listening and 32GB of internal storage for MP3 playback underwater. One pair covers two rather different routines, provided your swimming soundtrack exists as audio files rather than good intentions.
A small, Soft Green packing cube with a compression zip, semi-transparent ripstop nylon and a grab handle. Designed for socks, underwear and T-shirts, it gives the smaller items in your luggage a defined address rather than letting them establish settlements.
YAMASAN KYOTO UJI 1000 Days Aged Double Brewed Soy Sauce
Kitchen & FoodA Japanese double-brewed soy sauce that the manufacturer says is naturally brewed for more than 1,000 days, using brewed Koikuchi soy sauce for the second brewing. Recommended for sushi and sashimi: a considered condiment for meals where the dipping dish deserves some attention.
Nix Mini 3 Colour Sensor
Tools & WorkshopThe Nix Mini 3 measures surface colours and uses the Nix Toolkit app to suggest paint matches or provide RGB, HEX and CMYK values. It brings the digital eyedropper into the physical world, where ‘a sort of muted green’ has never been a particularly useful specification.

Stuff Catalogue
SURI Pro Sonic Electric Toothbrush
The SURI Pro Sonic Electric Toothbrush features plant-based bristles and an aluminium body, combining sustainability with sleek design. It also includes a pressure sensor to protect your gums while ensuring your teeth get that spick-and-span treatment.
Furbo 360° Cat Camera
The Furbo 360° Cat Camera is an app-connected pet camera with 1080p HD video, two-way audio, night vision, meow alerts, a feather wand and a treat tosser. Its rotating view is built for the cat who relocates precisely when you glance away.
AeroPress Go Portable Coffee Maker
The AeroPress Go is an extra-small manual coffee maker for travel, hiking and camping, combining French press, pour-over and espresso-style brewing in one kit. It brews coffee in two minutes, which is handy when your holiday cottage has a mug, a kettle and a deeply suspicious jar of instant.
Twelve South AirFly Pro 2 Bluetooth Adapter
The Twelve South AirFly Pro 2 is a Bluetooth transmitter and receiver for standard 3.5 mm headphone jacks. It sends wired-source audio to wireless headphones, can pair two sets, and can also feed Bluetooth audio into wired speakers. A tiny diplomatic mission for obsolete sockets and modern earbuds.
PETKIT AIRSALON MAX Pet Drying Box
The PETKIT AIRSALON MAX (PD10) is an app-connected indoor drying box for cats and small dogs from six months old. It offers 36°C–40°C temperature settings, six fan speeds and saved custom modes. A distinctly modern answer to the ancient household problem of a damp pet treating every sofa as a towel.
Alessi Juicy Salif Citrus Juicer
The Alessi Juicy Salif is an aluminium-cast citrus juicer, standing 11.42 inches high on three rubber feet. It turns the humble task of squeezing citrus into a piece of countertop theatre, which is either splendid or a very direct statement about one’s relationship with lemons.
Antigravity A1 Infinity Bundle 360° Camera Drone
The Antigravity A1 Infinity Bundle is an 8K 360° camera drone package with Vision Goggles, a Grip Controller, three flight batteries and a carry case. It is the sort of kit aimed at people who regard a normal aerial video as suspiciously short on drama.
Apple MacBook Neo 13-inch Laptop 512GB Citrus
The Apple MacBook Neo 13-inch, powered by the A18 Pro chip, boasts a vibrant Liquid Retina display and is available in a zesty citrus colour. With 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage, it’s equipped for both work and play, making it a delightful gadget for any modern user.
Apple Watch Series 12 GPS 42mm Smartwatch
The Apple Watch Series 12 GPS 42mm Smartwatch is an Apple smartwatch with 64 GB of storage, a 42 mm screen and a black aluminium case in this UK listing. It is the sort of wrist-bound bit of technology that makes a plain analogue watch look rather underqualified.
Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT Turntable
A fully automatic belt-drive turntable with Bluetooth, wired PHONO and LINE outputs, and a built-in phono preamp. It plays 33⅓ and 45 RPM records and uses a fixed AT-VM95C cartridge: vinyl listening without making tonearm management your new evening hobby.
Harman Kardon Aura Studio 4 Bluetooth Speaker
The Harman Kardon Aura Studio 4 is a Bluetooth speaker with a transparent dome, six 40 mm mid-high drivers, a 130 mm subwoofer and five music-synchronised lighting themes. It is a fairly serious audio arrangement disguised as the sort of object guests will assume has opinions about interior design.
Fellow Atmos Vacuum Coffee Canister
The Fellow Atmos is a 0.7-litre clear-glass vacuum canister listed for coffee and food storage, with an airtight sealed container design. At 10.7 cm wide and 12.7 cm high, it gives the coffee corner a slightly more intentional look than a bag held shut with blind optimism.
