LARQ PureVis Water Filter Jug

The ordinary water filter jug has spent decades doing its duty in the fridge: removing things from tap water while looking vaguely like it came free with a student tenancy. LARQ’s PureVis takes that familiar object and gives it a plant-based Nano Zero filter, UV-C purification and smart hydration tracking. Naturally, drinking a glass of water has become a modest systems-management exercise.

We think that escalation earns its place when the kitchen already leans towards useful gadgets rather than decorative clutter. The LARQ PureVis holds 1.9 L, or eight cups, and is refrigerator-safe, so it still performs the basic civilised task of keeping water ready without occupying the worktop like a small appliance with delusions of grandeur.

The genuinely interesting bit is the two-step arrangement: filtration through the Nano Zero filter, plus PureVis UV-C purification. PureVis activates while the jug is filled, although it may take up to five seconds to do so, and the λ button provides a manual route when a button press feels emotionally necessary.

There is a practical footnote, because smart things always demand one. The wand must come out before dishwasher cleaning and then be hand-washed; the lid, hopper and filter lid can go on the top rack. That is not catastrophic faff, but it does mean this is a considered kitchen gadget rather than a carefree plastic jug you fling into the machine after a busy Tuesday.
